However many of the children we see are experiencing difficulties in one of these areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Dyslexia\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=28\">Dyslexia<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Emotional Intelligence\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=30\">Emotional intelligence<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Able Children\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=32\">Able children<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Transitions\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=34\">Transitions<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Behaviour as communication\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=36\">Behaviour<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Social Communication Problems\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=38\">Social Communication<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"ADHD\" href=\"http:\/\/puzzlepsychology.com\/?page_id=40\">Hyperactivity<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to clarify the child\u2019s needs, we would undertake a range of assessment which could include observation of the child in school and at home, individual work with the child, information gathering through consultation with yourself and other school staff, parents or carers, other agencies and medical assessments where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>The type of intervention we recommend will be tailored to the individual child based upon the outcome of the assessment. Listed below are a range of interventions that we find helpful in meeting the needs of many children:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consultation with parents and teachers<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving and advice on strategies for home and\/or school<\/li>\n<li>Recommendations for individual programmes of work<\/li>\n<li>Individual behaviour management programmes<\/li>\n<li>Training for staff in schools<\/li>\n<li>Working with systems<\/li>\n<li>Individual work with children<\/li>\n<li>Video Interaction Guidance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are a teacher, with concerns about a child\u2019s development, it is likely that you may need to seek advice to understand the problem and what may help.
